Hayley Moody

To bring you up to speed on my perspective of the last 10 years: After leaving school I started a science degree at UQ, along with a lot of others from our grade! I finished in 2000 with a major in physiology. Realising that there weren't many jobs out there for physiologists, I soon began a teaching degree, and qualified in 2003 as a senior biology teacher. This time there were quite a few jobs, but i soon realised that I didn't really want to be a teacher...just yet. So I worked for 6 months or so and then found myself back at uni, this time at QUT. After a hard slog I finished my Masters in Medical Engineering late last year, and started wondering what type of job i should take, other than becoming a professional student!
In my home life, I met my husband, Ian, in first year uni, and married him in April last year at North Straddie. It was a fantastic week! We also bought a cute little house on the south side in 2004, and can't wait to begin renovations.
Currently we are living in Calgary, Canada, where I found a job at the hospital/uni as a research scientist. We are having a ball exploring Canada and North America, and are currently skiing every weekend. We are heading back in August, and I'm really looking forward to catching up with everyone after a long and happy 10 years!
Hope you are all well, and hopefully I'll see most of you soon!
